After completing my post-graduation and doctoral studies in Germany, I moved back to India and taught briefly in a university-affiliated life sciences college in my hometown. I also ventured into creating content for several academic and non-academic topics on a freelance basis. However, it is the conversations with students, academicians and industry experts that I enjoy the most, as I am able to get a nice overview of the interplay between academic and non-academic worlds. These conversations have made me realize that in order to enjoy long-term success in today’s knowledge-driven and competitive world, it is essential to recognize as well as nurture one’s unique set of skills and find that ‘perfect fit’ in the professional world. These conversations and realizations have led me towards my current passion of mentoring students and early career professionals belonging to the life sciences and pharmacy background. Through my contributions at Editage insights, I hope to engage in many more such (virtual) conversations with researchers across the world.
